“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you, even unto the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
These were the last words Jesus spoke to his disciples before His return to heaven. Matthew 28:17 says that “When the they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.” Am I going into all of my world?
For over 60 years, Granada has had the privilege of being a part of “The Great Commission” in taking the gospel around the world. Many have gone to various countries, others have given liberally to support them, and still others have faithfully prayed.
One of our missionaries, Ray Lentzsch, whom Granada supports wrote: “I have completed my vision to fulfill the Great Commission by going to 219 countries of the world. . .I have made our Lord’s last command my top priority. I am grateful that he has given me grace and strength and money to go to every nation with the gospel. I am grateful to the man (Robert Seelye) who gave me the tract through which I came to Christ in 1957. Most of all, I am grateful to Christ who loved me and gave himself for me on the cross.”
Dale Rhoton of Operation Mobilization wrote: “After a tract changed Ray Lentzsch’s life, he joined OM and began the journey that took him to the whole world. He traveled by thumbing rides, plane, bus, ship and on the back of motor bikes. Ray paid no bribes, he trusted the Lord to get him through. Open-air preaching was his strong point, which got him stoned or put in jail several times. In the midst of it all, many came to Christ from one continent to another.
“Finances may have been meager, but faith was larger, so Ray pressed ever onward to complete the task that God had given him. He visited 219 countries during the thirty-eight years it took to reach the goal.”
